Keto E-Book Available Now!

You guys! This is a super exciting day for me because I have finally finished my e-book! I've been working for a few months now on developing an eating plan that was accessible to anyone interested in Keto.

The top question I get asked every week is "how do I get started?" For the most part, people understand the basic idea behind Keto but starting it is an overwhelming idea. So, I came up with this meal plan. Then, I thought, wouldn't it be great if the meal plan and the answers to everyone's dietary questions and concerns were all in one place? I wanted to create a guide that could help anyone, regardless of where they were starting out. So, I created The Keto Coach!

What is this?
It is an educational e-book about the Ketogenic Diet with everything you need to know about macro counting, calculating net carbs, understanding the basics of Keto, etc. It is also a thirty day meal plan to get you started on your Keto journey with a great foundation. The meal plan is broken down into ten day phases that will get you into ketosis and losing weight quickly.

Is it just a thirty day "quick fix?"
NO. This meal plan is a way to approach Keto for the first thirty days, to get you used to this method of eating, and get your body conditioned to burning fat for energy instead of glucose. The meal plans provided in this book can be used for the entirety of your weight loss journey. In addition to being a resource for getting started with Keto, I have also provided information on how to reset after a cheat day, how to incorporate alcohol and processed foods, and even how to transition back to eating carbs when you have reached your goals, so that you do not gain weight back.

How soon can I expect to see results?
It depends on the individual, but in most cases you will begin losing weight within the first two weeks. The friends I have helped to get started with this program have lost up to 21 lbs in the first three weeks!

Is this sustainable?
In my opinion, Keto is very sustainable. It is simple and straightforward, easy to maintain while eating out, and makes you feel great! I have never felt deprived or hungry while on Keto, like I did when I was on some other diets.

How much does it cost?
My E-Book costs $11.99 and is compatible with computers, smart phones, and tablets.

How do I buy a book for myself?
Glad you asked! 😉 These E-Books can be purchased at the link below, or by paypal-ing me the price (11.99) and I will promptly send you a PDF file.

Recipe: Cheesecake Fruit Dip

Happy Memorial Day! Later today we are going over to my parent's house for a family dinner and yesterday I was perusing the Aldi for something fun to bring along with us. They had some great looking keto-friendly-fruit (berries) for super cheap (which, let's be honest, that's why we love Aldi!). So I grabbed a bunch (all for under $5) and decided to come up with a fruit dip that would compliment it. I used to create a fruit dip that was [delicious, but] chock full of sugar that was cream cheese, cool whip and sweetened condensed milk. Every once and a while, I would try to reign in the sugar by buying "light" or sugar free cool whip, but still, the sweetened condensed milk accounted for everyone's carbs for the day (or week). Anyway, it was one of my favorite things to make for a party, and I wanted to come up with a keto friendly alternative. On instagram somewhere, a friend posted a recipe for keto condensed milk, and I'll try that one day, b...

"The Fat Woosh" Theory

So, you may or may not have heard this theory before, but it's one of those "I wish I'd known about that earlier" things that I recently started to understand. When you are on a weight loss journey, you sometimes will experience stalls or periods of unexplained plateaus. You're doing everything right, but you're not losing weight. It can get super frustrating, but there may be a scientific reason why it's happening. I've touched on this a little bit before, but today I wanted to explain it in a little better detail to provide some clarity, and hopefully, some encouragement if you've found yourself in a weight loss stall.  So, I've talked before about how your body puts in a lot of work to keep us healthy and thriving. Sometimes, if you change your eating habits suddenly, or are losing weight too quickly, your body will work to slow down the process, in case this might indicate that you are starving or in crisis. We know that we're not...

My Reason "Why"

"When you feel like giving up, remember why you started." I have discussed my issues with chronic illness here before, but for those of you who don't know, I have suffered from Hashimotos Thyroiditis, Hypothyroidism, PCOS and adrenal fatigue for about 7 years. After my son was born in 2011, my health just plummeted, and I became extremely ill. My immune system shut down, letting in an infectious blood virus, and a bad case of mono. Soon after, my digestive health and functioning went out the window, and I started suffering from bad bouts of IBS three or four times a week. This was a vicious cycle: I was already in the habit of binge eating junk food, and I had a particular love for carbs and sugar. Then, my Doctor poorly advised me to eat a high carb diet to get my stomach issues under control. This sounded like a best case scenario to me: little did I know, it was going to be the start of years and years full of chronic illness. Before getting pregnant with m...
